The Singers of “Morski Zvutsi”

Yuliyana Todorova

Soprano · Chair of the Choir · In the choir since 1989

She has been singing in choirs since primary school, and in “Morski Zvutsi” for more than three decades. For Yuliyana Todorova the choir is not a hobby but a cause: to carry on the tradition of those before us and to pass the choral baton onward.

The Journey

A Lifetime in Choirs

Her path runs through the “Dobri Hristov” children’s choir under Lidia Dushek, the Girls’ Choir of Zaharina Milkova and the Orthodox vocal ensemble “Euphonikos”, before reaching “Morski Zvutsi”, where she has sung under Prof. Marin Chonev, Rositsa Shtereva and, today, Dr. Valentina Georgieva.

“You learn so much from every conductor,” she says. “Choral music is made and experienced in many layers, each of us in our own way. That is a treasure!”

A day with choir singing is different: more colorful, more fun, more meaningful. There is something unique about singing in one ensemble for a long time - lasting friendships are born, and before you know it, this community becomes something you cannot live without.
